Week 1 Activities
Week ending July 14: The team spent the week
speaking at area schools in order to raise awareness about the
project and about the rich maritime heritage in the East
Yorkshire region. Students heard about the battle, the ships,
and the technologies that will be used in the search, and
enthusiastically explored their simulated shipwreck sites made
of Jello as an engaging, hands-on activity.
 The
team also gave interviews to the press, learned how to drive on
the left side of the road while driving from the right side of
the car, and visited significant historical
sites such as Flamborough Head and Scarborough Castle. The rest
of the team will arrive on Sunday to
help prepare for the first day at sea on Tuesday, July 18.
